PE is on a Friday so please ensure children have a full PE kit on these days.

Homework
Reading books should be in every day so that records can be checked, updated and books changed whenever needed.
Homework is sent out each Friday and is expected back in and completed the following Wednesday. In addition to this children have access to TTRS to improve their times table knowledge and recall speed.
English
This half term we are reading When the sky falls by Phil Earle. This is a book that deals with themes such as loss, grief, friendship, trust and the impact of war through the lens of World War Two London.

Maths
The children will be working on Multiplication, Division, Fractions and Decimals while also continuing to work on arithmetic skills and test technique ready for the summer.
It is crucial that children still continue to learn their times tables to improve recall speed and accuracy.

Music:
This half term we are studying musical theatre looking at:
- the history of musical theatre
- the differences between character and action songs
- creating, rehearsing and performing our own musical theatre songs
PSHCE:
We are now using My Happy Mind as our main PSHCE offering. Currently, we are working through a unit called ‘Meet your Brain’ where we are learning about how our brains’ chemistry works.
We will then move on to our ‘Celebrate’ unit aimed at boosting self-esteem.
Computing:
In computing this half term we are continuing with our work on coding, learning how to programme simple games, real life simulations, use friction and function blocks, strings and concatenation.
Spanish:
In Spanish we are looking at the language surrounding ‘My World’, starting with family members and friends before looking at animals and farms and exploring language that the children could need when talking about their own life.
